Did you know that emerging nations hold 80 percent of the world’s population and hold 80 percent of its natural resources? The world’s fastest economic growth is also taking place in developing nations.
With access to key natural resources and rapidly growing populations, these nations stand to play a key role in the future of the global economy
Because of this, U.S. Global Investors works with a number of global organizations to promote global peace and prosperity.
William J. Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership
U.S. Global Investors believes in the work being done by the William J. Clinton Foundation. Our research and travel in Africa and Latin America have allowed us to cross paths with the Clinton Foundation’s efforts there and we’ve witnessed their beneficial impact firsthand.
However, you don’t have to travel to a distant country to see the positive effect the Clinton Foundation is having. By empowering and guiding some of America’s youngest and brightest minds, the Clinton Foundation is inspiring the next generation of givers.
To accomplish its goals, the Clinton Foundation has established several initiatives. Working in diverse geographic regions and responding to local needs, the initiatives address targeted challenges in the Foundation’s key areas of focus: economic inequality, climate change, global health, and childhood obesity.
U.S. Global Investors is especially committed to one of the Foundation’s initiatives, the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (CGEP). Frank Holmes was present in 2007 when President Bill Clinton and philanthropist Frank Giustra established CGEP, which partners with the private sector, governments, local communities and other NGOs. The Initiative also gained the support of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helú, who joined Mr. Giustra in pledging $100 million for CGEP’s efforts.
CGEP currently operates in Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Haiti where they partner with various organizations across the supply chain to optimize its efficiency and impact to those less fortunate. CGEP provides poor and vulnerable populations with access to marketable skills training, certification programs and other critical resources to increase gainful employment opportunities, resulting in increased incomes of marginalized individuals along these value chains. CGEP aims to empower individuals in developing nations by providing them with the tools needed to work themselves out of poverty.
