Q.
The registration of my IRA account has changed to “Bank of Texas Cust.” What does this mean?
A. Effective June 1, 2001, U.S. Global Investors changed the custodian for retirement accounts. Previously our subsidiary, Security Trust and Financial Company, provided the custodial function for all retirement accounts. To provide this function more cost effectively, we partnered with Bank of Texas for custodial duties. The change does not affect the management of your accounts or the funds in which your accounts are invested. Q. What is “Streamlining”? A. Streamlining means sending just one prospectus, semi-annual and annual report to households with multiple accounts. No action is required if one copy of these documents is sufficient. If you would like separate copies for each account, please notify us at 1-800-873-8637 or on our contact form at www.usfunds.com. Q. I’ve heard people talking about new IRA tax laws. How does this affect me? A. For a summary of changes, go to www.usfunds.com, and see the articles, New tax law gives boost to the Education IRA and Did You Know... |
