Q. How does the Visa Checkcard work?
The Visa CheckCard works with the U.S. Treasury Securities Cash Fund.
Use it instead of a check anywhere Visa is accepted. Whether you are shopping around the corner or around the world, your Visa CheckCard is an easy way to pay. Your Visa CheckCard is made for your busy lifestyle.
Because it carries the Visa symbol, your Visa CheckCard works like a check anywhere your Visa is accepted―over 13 million locations worldwide―even places that normally refuse checks like gas stations and restaurants.
You can use your Visa CheckCard for everyday things―like dry cleaning, lunch or department store purchases. Just present your Visa CheckCard at the time of purchase, and the amount will automatically be deducted from your money market account.
It provides you with convenient cash access. Your Visa CheckCard is the most convenient card to keep in your wallet. You can use it to get cash at over 250,000 Visa/PLUS Network Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) worldwide. You will receive a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) in a few days.
To use your card in an ATM simply:
- Enter your PIN number.
- Select either “Visa Cash Advance” or “Checking Withdrawal.” Both selections are handled identically when the transaction is deducted from your money market fund account.
It works just like a check, only faster. Using the Visa CheckCard is hassle-free. There is no checkbook to carry. No check to write. No I.D. to show. No waiting for check approval. So you are in and out of stores in no time.
It is easier.
Your Visa CheckCard makes recordkeeping simple and accurate. You will receive a receipt for every merchant or ATM transaction that you make and your money market account statement will list every transaction―with the date of the transaction, the amount, the merchant’s or financial institution’s name and location. This makes it simple to keep track of how much you spend. It is more convenient.
Why carry cash when you can carry the Visa CheckCard? It is safer and more convenient than carrying cash. And it is accepted at more places, for more purchases than any other card in the world. That makes it especially valuable when you travel!
