U.S. Global Investors Won Distinguished Education Campaign from the IMEA

U.S. Global Investors is the proud recipient of three STAR Awards from the Investment Management Education Alliance (IMEA). At the October 2018 awards event, we were awarded Distinguished Education Campaign within the small fund category, competing against firms with $10 billion or less in assets under management. Additionally, we received the Distinguished Education Award and the Investor Category Wild Card Award.

The IMEA is a national industry association committed to investor education and dedicated to helping investors understand mutual funds and other investment products. In its 22nd year, the STAR Awards program is the investment management’s preeminent awards competition.

U.S. Global now has 85 STAR awards in total.

The Distinguished Education Campaign Award recognizes a campaign with the primary focus to educate on an investment product or concept. We were honored to win this for our China Region campaign focusing on Chinese New Year celebrations and investment opportunities in the region. Elements of the campaign include an infographic, animated video, webpage, Frank Talk blog post, email and social media posts.

The Wild Card Award recognizes special education, communcations and marketing efforts that are creative and don’t fit into traditional categories. In educating investors about cryptocurrencies, we took an innovative approach of designing a comic strip and writing an interactive quiz in hopes of engaging investors on this new area of the financial world.

A new category for 2018, the Distinguished Education Award recognizes a firm with strong overall commitment to investment management education through client communications, employee education, community support and more. U.S. Global won for its employee educational advacement program that encourages team members to earn industry-recognized certifications and read educational materials. Curiosity to learn and improve is a core value at U.S. Global Investors.
