This contribution calculator is designed to be a guide assisting self-employed individuals, who have net business profits, in determining their SEP-IRA contribution amount. Usually employees' and some incorporated business owners' SEP-IRA contributions are determined by multiplying compensation (i.e. wages as shown on their W-2) by the contribution percentage.
This calculation tool and related information is intended to be a guide and you should consult your tax advisor for advice concerning your business's tax situation.
