During his time in Singapore for the Asia Mining Congress Frank Holmes joins the cast of CNBC Asia’s Squawk Box to discuss what’s been driving markets lately. Frank says despite interest rates of next to zero, he sees dividend-paying stocks as one of the main market movers, noting that in the first quarter of the year dividends for the S&P 500 grew by 15 percent.

Frank also touches on merger and acquisition news in the cable television space along with how airline stocks are performing so far this year.
