Straight from the first ever Mines and Money Americas event, Kitco News host Daniela Cambone and Frank Holmes sit down to talk gold. Frank discusses the sentiment around the yellow metal, specifically referencing his recent attendance at the Denver Gold Forum the week prior. “I thought it was a wonderful set of presentations and there was a lot of deal flow and conversations,” he said.
Daniela also asks Frank whether he thinks a December interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve is on the table. “We’ll see, they’ll talk it up as they go,” Frank said. He believes that even if there is a 25 basis point move later this year, it won’t be material for gold. Instead, he says to pay attention to CPI.
