Daniela Cambone of Kitco News talks with Frank Holmes following his time at this year’s Silver Summit in San Francisco, California. Frank says the resources conference was a home run and comments on the state of the gold market during a shortened holiday trading week. Frank says what’s causing a lot of short-term volatility in the gold price is the real interest rate scenario. Specifically, he references dialogue that if interest rates rise 25 basis points the precious metal could get clobbered, although he says he doesn’t think this is so.
