Frank Holmes joins Gold Game Film from Lima, Peru, this week where he spoke recently at the Mining & Investment Latin America Summit. Kitco host Daniela Cambone starts the interview by asking Frank if he thinks the depreciation in commodities over the last year will continue or not.
Despite commodities being at their lowest point since March 2009, Frank says there is actually great opportunity here. He notes that the global purchasing managers’ index (PMI) has finally turned positive, which has historically been an encouraging sign for gold and oil.

The Purchasing Manager’s Index is an indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector. The PMI index is based on five major indicators: new orders, inventory levels, production, supplier deliveries and the employment environment.
