How Strong is the U.S. Economy?

Sam notes how the U.S. economy is strong due to isolated events, such as the lowering of the corporate tax rate at the end of last year, but that other areas of the economy have demonstrated weakness –construction materials, junk bonds and housing. The two also discuss real interest rates, which are currently negative, and how this could be positive for gold and other commodities.
