During this year’s Vancouver Natural Resources Conference, Frank Holmes caught up with Shelley Kraft of Stock News Now to discuss gold and how investors should look at this precious metal as an investment. Frank believes a 10 percent weighting is prudent to have in a portfolio – 5 percent gold bullion or jewelry and 5 percent gold stocks.

Frank also delves into the two main demand drivers behind gold, the Love Trade and the Fear Trade, touching briefly on how interest rates can also make a big impact on how the gold price will move.

Check out the full interview here to see Frank’s thoughts on gold mining and exploration companies.
