Where to Find Value in the Muni Market

This week on Marc Lichtenfeld’s Oxford Club Radio, Director of Research John Derrick chats with Marc about what’s going on in the bond market right now, specifically with the 10-year yield spiking last week. John says the spike could be a little bit of a bounce back after seeing bond yields slowing declining and geopolitical noise surrounding the market, at least up until the last couple of weeks.

John also touches on what the Federal Reserve plans to do about interest rates and how this could affect the bond market. He says the idea that the Fed is moving toward a rate increase as soon as the second quarter of next year could also be behind the recent move in the 10-year yield.
Listen to the full interview to hear where John says he looks for value in the bond market and how he uses volatility to his advantage.
