Earlier this week, Frank Holmes joined Daniela Cambone of Kitco News to talk gold – more  specifically what’s in store for the precious metal in the coming weeks. Frank says his main concern right now is negative real interest rates. He goes on to explain that real interest rates have the potential to spike if Federal Reserve chairman Janet Yellen “pulls away the punchbowl from the party.” When interest rates spike, historically we have seen the gold price fall.

Watch the full episode to hear Frank expand on this correlation, as well as a brief discussion on platinum group metals (PGMs).
